Sometimes it is hard to remember how fast out bodies acclimate and heal when faced with extreme circumstances. The bottom photo is from the second day in the hospital with the physical therapist. They get you up and moving right away, so your joints don't heal in one place, and you realize just how much you can do! I have my catheter, the glucose drip, and my blood drain thing in tow, just to hobble to the door and back. The top photo is from two days later, after all the tubes came out, and I was able to go to the bathroom all by myself! The walker is only temporary, as I will graduate to crutches over this coming weekend. Yay!
